Account & Data Deletion

We respect your right to control your personal data. You can request complete deletion of your PetSOS account and all associated data at any time.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:

• Account Information: Your name, email address, and login credentials
• Pet Profiles: All pet information including names, photos, breeds, and health records
• Vaccination Records: All vaccination history and upcoming reminders
• Favorites: Saved veterinary clinics and notes
• Support Tickets: All support conversations and tickets
• Subscription Data: Your subscription history (payment records are retained by Apple/Google)

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)

1. Open the PetSOS app
2. Go to Profile tab
3. Tap Settings (gear icon)
4. Scroll down and tap Delete Account
5. Confirm your decision

Option 2: Email Request

Send an email to privacy@petsosapp.com with:

• Subject: "Account Deletion Request"
• The email address associated with your PetSOS account
• Confirmation that you want to delete your account and all data

Option 3: Contact Form

Use our Contact page to submit a deletion request.

Processing Time

• In-App Deletion: Immediate
• Email Request: Within 30 days

You will receive a confirmation email once your account has been deleted.

Important Notes

• Irreversible: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
• Active Subscriptions: Please cancel any active subscriptions through the App Store or Google Play before deleting your account to avoid future charges
• Backup Your Data: Export any important pet health records before deletion
• Retention Period: Some data may be retained for up to 30 days in backups before complete removal
• Legal Requirements: We may retain certain data if required by law

Cancel Subscription First

If you have an active Premium subscription, cancel it before deleting your account:

iOS (Apple App Store)

1. Open Settings on your iPhone
2. Tap your Apple ID at the top
3. Tap Subscriptions
4. Find PetSOS and tap Cancel Subscription

Android (Google Play Store)

1. Open the Google Play Store app
2. Tap your Profile icon
3. Tap Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
4. Find PetSOS and tap Cancel subscription
